Egypt's geographical place in the world gives it so many advantages to be attractive for travellers in winter as it lies in the center of the world, in Africa . And one of the most important advantages is the weather,Winter in Egypt is warm comparing to other countries like European countries for example, And for me the top 3 destinations that you should visit based on the weather of course and things to do are:
---------------------------------------------------
1) Luxor& Aswan
Luxor and Aswan are one of the most important places in Egypt, their importance goes back historically to ancient Egyptians, In ancient times they had their capital at the city of "Luxor" and based on that they left so many monuments and sites there as ruins of the ancient Egyptian civilizations. There you'll find so many temples like Kom Ombo temple, Edfu Temple,Luxor Temple and much more. Also there lies the famous Valley of Kings and Queens . It's story dates back to when King Ramses II was sick of thieves stealing the tombs of Kings and Queens * If you don't know but ancient Egyptian built their tombs in many phases; first they dig a hole in the ground and left the deceased in a baby pose just like he was in his mother's womb and then they developed this hole to Mastaba, after Mastaba they build the Step pyramid, After the Step pyramid they developed their tomb shape to a complete pyramid, and finally they dig into the mountains to hide their tombs & that's the Valley of Kings and Queen". However you'll also find in Luxor the Hatshepsut Temple and El Karnak Temple, one of the most beautiful places any eye can witness, definitely recommended to visit!
As for Aswan it's equally important to Luxor and it's so not so far away from it that's why the tour of Luxor is always linked with Aswan; there you can visit The High Dam which was built 1970 by president Gammal Abd- El Naser, and also you can visit the Unfinished Obelisk and it's called like that because after architectures back in ancient Egypt miss measured the Obelisk and it was said that if that was completed it would be heavy as 200 Elephants!! In addition to the Unfinished Obelisk you can visit Philae Temple and much more. There's also a very interesting and beautiful village beside Aswan which is the Nubian Village or El Nuba as Egyptians refer to it! In this village people exhibit since thousands of years and they have their own language they speak with; The Nubian language. And their houses are well known for it's beautiful colors and doodles. You'll definitely love it!
What made Luxor & Aswan at the top of the suggestions is as I mentioned before; the weather, The weather is so warm and friendly to travel to in winter 2022.
How can you go to Luxor& Aswan???
Well, there are so many options you have like you can book a Nile cruise and tbh it's the best option because you'll get to live a magical journey in the River Nile on your way to Luxor& Aswan as well enjoying the vibe while sailing from one site to another, absolutely magical!!
There's also the sleeping train, VIP train or you can easily book a flight ticket from Cairo/Hurghada/Sharm International Airport to Luxor International Airport.
2) Siwa Oasis
Second best destination to visit, The Oasis is perfectly peaceful for you to free your soul and spend some time with your self maybe or a person you love! It's anurban oasis in Egypt between the Qattara Depression and the Great Sand Sea in the Western Desert, 50 km (30 mi) east of the Libyan border, and 560 km (348 mi) from Cairo. About 80 km (50 mi) in length and 20 km (12 mi) wide, Siwa Oasis is one of Egypt's most isolated settlements with about 33,000 people, mostly Berbers, who developed a unique and isolated desert culture and a distinct dialect and language different than all other dialects called Siwi; they are also fluent in the Egyptian dialect of Arabic which is called "Masry" meaning Egyptian.
